Dermal Filler
Restylane is a type of hyaluronic acid filler that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own naturally produced hyaluronic acid. It is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth towards the chin (marionette lines).Filler can also be used for lip enhancement for more fullness and definition, in your cheeks for added fullness, and under your eyes to fill in hollowing.
Results from filler are instant, and a final result is typically seen 1-2 weeks post treatment when any swelling or bruising has subsided. Filler can last anywhere from 6 months to 15 months depending on the type of product and location it was used.
There are different types of Restylane, such as Lyft, Refyne/Defyne, and Kysse- each with their own unique properties and purpose. During your consultation, Kim will discuss each filler in detail to assist in deciding which product is best to achieve your desired goal.
Neurotoxins
Dysport and Botox are types of neurotoxins that treat and prevent wrinkles in adults. These injections help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the underlying muscles beneath the skin.
Common areas to have neurotoxin injections performed are your glabellar complex (11’s or angry lines), frontalis (forehead), and crows feet (corners of eyes).
Results take about 1 week to take effect, and last anywhere from 3-4 months.
There is no downtime.
Sculptra
Sculptra Aesthetic, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen—the most common protein in the body that is used to form a framework to support cell and tissue.
Sculptra Aesthetic works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.
As the Sculptra Aesthetic PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Sculptra Aesthetic is different from Fillers, such as Juvederm or Restylane, as the results are gradual and develop over a series of months as your body needs time to rebuild collagen. Results from Sculptra last much longer then with Fillers, as it is your own collagen that results from treatment.
You begin losing collagen at a rate of ~1% each year around age 20. The purpose of Sculptra is to cause your body to produce collagen, offsetting this loss. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra is injected with a cannula, a flexible needle with a blunt tip- making it very well tolerated. It is typically injected in a series, depending on the amount of volume loss and the desired goal.
The results from treatment with Sculptra is a very youthful, natural-looking appearance.
Kybella
KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that permanently destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.
How does KYBELLA® work?
Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that helps break down fat in the body. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid.
Fat cells are broken down each time KYBELLA® is injected in the treatment area beneath the chin. Over a period of time, those cells are cleared away through the natural processes of your body. You are left with a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin
KYBELLA® MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You’re bothered (self-conscious, unhappy, embarrassed), by fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness
You feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are
You don’t want to have surgery
You eat well and exercise but submental fullness does not go away
Microneedling
Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy, that consists of several sterile needles used to create small punctures on the top layer of the skin, resulting in new collagen and elastin.
We are essentially tricking your skin into thinking it has been wounded, and as a result, your body sends fibroblasts to the area- resulting in thickening of the skin, improved texture, and reducing the appearance of pore size and acne scarring.
When these tiny micro-cuts are made, we can then infuse different products, such as hyaluronic acid, stems cells, or platelet rich plasma (PRP) into the wound for added benefits.
Microneedling is much different than an at home derma roller, as it penetrates the skin much deeper. Microneedling can be performed anywhere on the body, areas where there are stretch marks, sun-damaged areas, and areas that have lost some of their elasticity.
The procedure is tolerated very well, with minimal to no downtime. Patients may look sunburned with minor irritation the following day. Microneedling is performed in a series of 3 or 4 treatment sessions, spaced out 4-6 weeks apart.
Chemical Peels
Office-based chemical peels are vital for maintaining and restoring your skin’s health and appearance.
A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate, and then peel off (depending the strength of the peel).
They are a great option to treat and improve the texture, overall pigmentation, sun-damage, melasma, scarring, aging skin, and wrinkles.
Depending on the strength and type of peel, there may be moderate to severe peeling that lasts up to a week.
A series of peels may need to be performed in order to achieve optimal correction.

LATISSE® grows your lashes longer, fuller, and darker.
Ask your healthcare provider if LATISSE® is right for you.
