Dermatology Center of Connecticut

Your Skin Is Our Priority

Skin issues can not only be physically uncomfortable (itchy, burning, sore, hot) but also emotionally and mentally taxing.

Whether you’re suffering from acne or psoriasis to hair loss or nail fungus- here at the Dermatology Center of Connecticut we strive to create a customized treatment plan to tailor both to your needs and your lifestyle.

-Not realistic to remember to take a pill every day?
-Needle phobia?
-Tired of lathering on layers of creams with no results?

A survey of 2,000 Americans examined the emotions and attributes that make people most self-conscious about their appearance- 67% of respondents reported it was their skin issues that ultimately killed their self-confidence (OnePoll).

Consider these statistics from American Academy of Dermatology:

-Major depression is one of the main consequences of chronic skin disorders.
-Adults with acne face higher rates of unemployment than the general population.
-About 5% of American adults suffering with psoriasis have suicidal thoughts- which is three times the rate of the general population.
-26% of people with moderate to severe psoriasis have been forced to change or discontinue their normal daily activities.

Here at the Dermatology Center of Connecticut, we understand the magnitude of the impact skin conditions can have on an individual and are determined to formulate a treatment plan that will work for you to not only improve your appearance but assist you in gaining your self-confidence back.

I had almost exclusively started boycotting going to the dermatologist because I almost never had a good experience.  That was, until I went to see Kim.  I have been to her now multiple times for various services, and I have nothing but amazing things to say.  Her professionalism and knowledge are unrivaled, and she has the ability to make anyone feel comfortable- not to mention, she is the first person who has actually helped my skin.  I have been struggling with acne and acne scarring for years, and she started me on a regimen that actually worked!  The results have been significant and I owe it all to Kim.  I would recommend her to anyone!

So here's the thing- skin is a very REAL thing.  Stay with me on this.  A dermatologist is so multi-faceted because not only do they deal with very serious, very real life and death situations, they are also dealing with the cosmetic aspects.  A dermatologist is responsible for listening, hearing, and understanding not only what is causing something, but the actual affect it is having on the person.  We're talking emotional responses, things directly linked to self esteem.  It's well-being and it's self-care.  You guys, Kim gets its.  She lets you know she is here for you, and she has the knowledge and the skill and everything you could ask for in a Doc, but then she delivers it in a way that is so relatable and so comforting and so wonderful.  Skin is REAL.  How you feel about yourself is REAL.  I just wish I could find a GP like her.  She's the best you're going to find.

Kim was fantastic!  I was very nervous about getting filler above my lip to help fill in some wrinkles and Dysport around my eyes. She was very calming and walked me through the entire process.  I am extremely happy with the results!  Kim will be my "go-to" person for all my skin care needs.  She is very professional and really listens to what you are looking for.

Go see Kim!!! She's incredible!  She knows what she's talking about.  She's super smart and knowledgeable and will help you figure out exactly what you need.  If you're looking for lip injections, she's your girl!   Kim makes your lips look unbelievably gorgeous and NATURAL.  She's my go to girl for anti-aging, skin wrinkles, you name it, she's it!

Had an extremely positive experience with Kim Boldon, APRN, who took care of my 12 year old daughter.  She was very sweet to her, and helped calm her even when she became anxious about getting something removed from her ankle.  Highly recommend her

I have finally found a practice that I love and my voice is listened to.  Kim is an absolute pleasure to work with, and she cares about my skin just as much as I do.  She makes sure I'm 100% informed of any procedure I consider and I feel a higher level of confidence leaving her office.  My skin won't be treated by anyone besides her!
